Join Our Mission to Transform Mumbai
At Project Mumbai, we believe that change starts from within—within communities, systems, and each of us. Our city is full of possibilities, and we’re building pathways to unlock them—whether it’s for mental health support in prisons, composting in schools, or citizen-led sustainability movements.
If you’re a driven professional ready to lead from the front, we’re hiring for two exciting full-time roles based in Mumbai:

Project Manager – Environment & Sustainability
Ever imagined your 9–5 could help save the planet, one plastic wrapper at a time?
At Project Mumbai, we’ve turned citizen action into a city-wide movement—from the world’s largest volunteer-led Plastic and E-waste Recyclothon, to Zero Waste Schools, to gardens made from recycled waste.
Now, we’re looking for someone to lead this movement forward.
What You’ll Do:
Manage community-led environmental programs across Mumbai
Collaborate with civic bodies, CSR teams, and volunteers
Track impact and scale sustainable practices across schools, offices, and public spaces
Who You Are:
A sustainability strategist with the execution skills of a project manager
5–8 years of experience in environmental or community-driven programs
Comfortable working with BMC, corporates, and citizen volunteers alike
Fluent in English & Marathi
Excited by compost, circular economy, and real-world solutions
