On December 21, 2024, the Jallosh Clean Coasts initiative, organized by Project Mumbai, conducted its monthly beach cleanup drive across several prominent beaches, including Juhu Pagli, Dadar, and Mahim.
The initiative, dedicated to combating pollution and preserving marine life, holds weekend cleanup drives every month. Volunteers were divided into teams and worked tirelessly to remove plastic trash from the shores.
This month’s drive saw remarkable participation, with over 254 volunteers contributing a total of 635 hours to the cleanup effort. Together, they successfully collected an astounding 1,879 kilograms of plastic waste from the sea.
The Jallosh Clean Coasts initiative exemplifies the power of community action in keeping Mumbai’s beaches clean and safe, demonstrating a collective commitment to environmental sustainability.
