On November 9th, 2024, the Jallosh Clean Coast initiative of Project Mumbai, along with Marcura, organized a beach cleanup drive as part of their CSR activity at Dadar Beach. Marcura volunteers joined hands and came together for the cleanup effort. The activity aimed to help clean the local beach while fostering a spirit of civic sense among the volunteers and raising awareness about the importance of waste management.
With over 22 volunteers collectively investing more than 55 hours, they successfully collected 191 kilograms of plastic waste from the sea.
On November 30th, 2024, the Jallosh Clean Coasts initiative of Project Mumbai once again organized its monthly beach cleanup drive across several beaches in Mumbai, including Juhu Pagli, Bandra, Dadar, Powai, Mahim, Erangal, and Juhu Koliwada. This initiative aims to combat pollution, preserve marine life, and is conducted monthly on weekends.
Volunteers were divided into teams and worked tirelessly to remove plastic trash from the shores. With over 458 volunteers collectively investing more than 1145 hours, they successfully collected an impressive 2989 kilograms of plastic waste from the sea.
This Jallosh initiative highlights the power of community action in keeping Mumbai’s beaches clean and safe.
