On October 19, 2024, the Jallosh Clean Coasts initiative of Project Mumbai organized its monthly beach cleanup drive across several beaches in Mumbai, including Juhu Pagli, Bandra, Dadar, Powai, Erangal and Juhu Koliwada. The initiative aims to combat pollution and preserve marine life and is a monthly beach clean-up drive conducted on weekends.

Volunteers were divided into teams and worked tirelessly to remove plastic trash from the shores. With over 700 volunteers, their dedication was remarkable, investing over 1957.5 hours collectively in the cleanup effort. Together, they successfully collected a whopping 2801 kilograms of plastic waste from the sea.

This Jallosh initiative shows the power of community action to keep Mumbai’s beaches clean and safe.
