Mumbai Fire Brigade and Project Mumbai Launch “Agni Rakshak – Making Mumbai Fire Safe”

The Mumbai Fire Brigade, in partnership with Project Mumbai, an award-winning not-for-profit organization, has launched Agni Rakshak – Making Mumbai Fire Safe, a unique citizen volunteer program aimed at training citizens in fire safety and awareness.

Close to seventy-seven citizens from across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai participated in classroom and practical sessions, which lasted nearly half a day. These participants were awarded Fire Safety Citizen Champion certificates by both organizations.

The session is free for citizens and is conducted at the Byculla Headquarters of the Mumbai Fire Brigade. It will take place every Saturday and will admit only pre-registered candidates.

Activity Details:

This month, the Agni Rakshak session was held on 1st February, Saturday, with a total of 77 volunteers participating.

The volunteers came from various groups and colleges, including Vasantdada Patil College of Engineering & Visual Arts, SIWS College, ATLAS College, and other citizens who registered online to join the session.
