BE A SUPERHERO IN SOMEONE’S LIFE:
HAR GHAR HAI DONOR-
AN ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Lakhs of people in India need an organ transplant every year. Five lakh annually to be precise.
0.01 percent of citizens across India are organ donors. Even this number is going down.
Each one of us can save lives. As individuals. As a family.
By pledging to donate.
Project Mumbai launches an initiative to create an awareness to urge people to PLEDGE to donate their organs. The first step in saving a life.
We are doing this in partnership with the AMAR GANDHI FOUNDATION and supported by ROTTO-SOTTO.
HAR GHAR HAI DONOR is not just about one person-the ME. But about the collective. The WE.
Can we come together as a family and donate our organs?
As per the statistics of National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO), . In year 2020-21, deceased organ donations were also noticed to have decreased by 50-80 per cent across the world and our country. Despite the high requirement for organ donation, only 0.01% Indians have given consent to donate their organs after their death.
These numbers show the need to actively work and create awareness for Organ donation in India. Through our campaign, we aim to create awareness among individuals, families and society at large while encouraging citizens to join us in the noble cause.
We believe that every citizen, who is capable, should contribute their bit to the community.
The process is very simple:

HAR GHAR HAI DONOR: EVERY FAMILY AS A DONOR
Even if an individual pledges to donate their organs posthumously (after death) it is the family which steps in–rightfully–as surviving members.
At such times, the family is either unaware of the pledge to donate, taken by the deceased, or often, under emotionally trying times after the person’s death, the family is unable to comprehend the situation and meet the promise.
The family’s willingness at such a juncture, can save not one but many lives.
Thus, our effort to engage with not just the individual, but the entire family to become a donor. To become aware of the need to help lives.
Thus, HAR GHAR HAI DONOR.
We want YOU to be the leader of this campaign. First, on behalf of your family and then, on behalf of your community as well.
Your one pledge, support, spreading awareness to your family and friends can lead to a holistic impact on our health system. Organ donation can be seen as a stigma free and myth free cause leading to more insight to our own selves and our potential to help others.
PLEDGE today to become a donor and be the hero of awareness and health.
SAVE A LIFE.
